Who / What is Mini Backdrops?
Mini Backdrops was born after receiving many requests for smaller backdrops for smaller projects, and strives at providing a new service particularly marketed towards all those small item vendors, bloggers and anyone who does flat lay photography, but doesn’t have a need for large backdrops.
Mini Backdrops sells small vinyl backdrops sized 60 cm x 60cm, and ships worldwide.
We were also very inspired by the #communityovercompetition shared by the Rising Tide Society, and therefore we have made it our goal to be sure to work with other creatives and to provide our website as a way to share and inspired others.
We will be doing this in two ways:
We have a Brand Ambassador Program, where we will be working with other businesses sharing some of our products in exchange for a cooperation over a 4 month period of time.
We also invite everyone to guest post here on our blog. We want to feature your businesses, your hard work, and your thoughts on the creative/small business industry. Want to do a blog post all about your business and products as a way to spread the word? Send us an email! Want to share your creative space with others? Send us an email! Have some awesome social media marketing tips, or anything else you want to share? Send us an email. It can be hard to drive natural traffic to your place on the web. We want to help you. For free. All that is required is that you write it yourself, that it is authentic to you, and that your provide some images.
If I were to be completely honest with you all, I would tell you that I hate writing about me pieces for website. I am more of a listener than a talker. That being said, I think it is great to be able to know the people behind the businesses we work with and purchase from. So here is a bit about me. I am a wearer of many hats. I always have about 100 things on the go. For example, at this current time in life I have 4 kids under the age of 7, a podcast and a personal blog. Oh, and did I mention that I am also going to school just for the fun of it? Yep that is me, the master of having too much on my plate. But you know what, I like it that way. It keeps my mind busy.
In the past I have been a cook, waitress, department manager for a large pet store, tour guide in a museum, gift shop cashier, ice cream scooper, web designer, graphic designer… the list goes on and on.
I have half a bachelor degree in Anthropology, a bachelor degree in European Studies, and part of a degree in Multimedia Design. I love to learn. All. The. Time.
What else… oh, this is kind of a big one… So I am a Canadian, but in 2007 I moved to Denmark to be closer to my now husband’s family. Growing up I dreamed of living in Europe. Although that dream might have been in, say, England (so much easier when you don’t need to learn a new language), but I am really happy that I landed in Denmark. I am also a social media addict, and have been blogging or building websites as long as I can remember.
I also love community and connecting with others, which I am hoping to do a lot more in this space.
